Lupe Lovato works mostly in turquoise and spiny oyster shell and has been designing and making jewelry for more than 50 years. He lives at the village - Santo Domingo Pueblo, Kewa Pueblo - and works mostly with Kingman turquoise from Kingman, Arizona. He is most noted for his large earrings and his ja'claw designs.
