A small pendant cut in a smooth oval, inlaid on mother-of-pearl shell. The face is split into bold geometric pieces: two sections of blue, one deep and flecked with gold, the other brighter and mottled; a small pale yellow piece at the top; two red triangles; a mottled green and yellow-green panel below them; then a band of dark red-brown and a pale lavender-white band at the bottom edge. It hangs from a wire-wrapped loop on the black cord, so it sits near the collarbone. It is a small, simple way to add a patch of strong color to a T-shirt or an open collar, and the plain cord keeps the look casual.
Chery Crespin's other inlay in the shop, an inlaid heart necklace and a pendant necklace, is also set on mother-of-pearl shell, so the shell base is a constant in her work here; those two hang on strands of turquoise beads instead of a cord.
